The coppernickel alloys are single phased throughout the full range of compositions and many standard alloys exist within this range, usually with small additions of other elements for special purposes. The two most popular of the copperrich alloys contain 10 or 30% of nickel.
An experimental technique for the differential flotation of bulk sulfide concentrates from Duluth Gabbro into copper and nickel concentrates is described. The technique utilizes a twostage bulk sulfide flotation procedure to obtain a copper concentrate that analyzed 25 percent copper and percent nickel, and a nickel concentrate that analyzed 10 percent nickel and about 1 percent copper.
